School Philosophy

 

We, at Central Middle School, believe in our commitment to the nurturing of the whole child.  We believe all students should be recognized for their individual qualities in regards to their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.  We believe that our children should be looked upon as individuals functioning in a group where each person uses his/her own learning style and potential for growth and development to deal with today's challenges.  We believe that our school should provide students with experiences that will foster responsible decision making.

GOALS: 

The primary goal of Central Middle School is to provide a well-rounded activity program that will promote the growth of the social. emotional, intellectual, and physical development of each student.  The school program is constructed to provide learning experiences that will enable each student to develop a sense of responsibility for his/her actions within the school setting and later in adult life.

OBJECTIVES

The student who attends Central Middle School:

Shall develop both a sense of self-worth and a sense of worth of others.

Shall develop a broad variety of concepts and skills to be used for future learning.

Shall learn to improve communication skills and to work independently.

Shall ascertain his/her strengths and weaknesses so that he/she may develop realistic goals and objectives for him/herself, and

Shall develop a positive attitude toward involvement n the school, community, and society.
